Philippines Get The New Xperia-PlayStation Coming Soon

sony Ericsson has successfully launched its Xperia range of handsets in the Philippines. Both the Xperia Arc and the Neo are currently operating on the Gingerbread 2.3 Google Android platform. These phones are also running on the Mobile Bravia Engine that is the same brand being used for the HD liquid crystal display LCD TVs.

Both these phones have an 8.1 MP camera along with the Exmor R Sensor that gives the user photos of a high quality. Videos also come out very well in low light conditions. These phones also have a multimedia interface that is a HD one and it allows users to share their content on a large HD screen.
The Marketing Manager of Sony Philippines, Patrick Larraga, stated that the new features of these cells are a part of the company plans to make the Xperia range of handsets the first and the top choice of the consumers who are in search of an Android based phone. The Android market is one that has grown and developed over the recent years and last year it grew by around 21%. This was stated by a study by Frost & Sullivan and the same study also revealed that 54% of the mobile devices that are sold in the Asia Pacific region were expected to be Smartphones.

Regza T-01C Android Smartphone from Toshiba

iT announced its first Android powered smartphone Regza T-01C bound for the largest Japanese carrier, NTT DoCoMo.
The device is named Regza, after their line of flat-panel televisions, as it is apparently based on an adapted “Mobile Regza Engine 3.0.”

The Regza T-01C runs Android 2.2 device, and is equipped with an impressive 4-inch 480×854 resolution display, 2.2MP camera with 720p recording, a digital TV tuner, and a waterproof body. Though, we are not sure this waterproofing is as good as that of the Motorola DEFY.
The smartphone also features Bluetooth, Wi-Fi,  microSDHC slot (32GB max). The dimensions of the phone are  126×62×11, 9 mm, and it weighs 149g.
Toshiba’s first Android smartphone will also come with the FeliCa wireless interface module for e-wallet capability.
